file.ini [FileSettings]

The block [FileSettings] of settings/file.ini, with 4 setting(s).

Repositories[]=kernel/classes
A list of extensions which have binaryhandlers
It's common to create a settings/file.ini.append.php file
in your extension and add the extension name to automatically
get handlers from the extension when it's turned on.
Handlers need to be placed in the extension subdir "binaryhandlers".
ExtensionRepositories[]

Never edit settings/file.ini itself: an update replaces it. Put the settings you change in an override, which wins over the shipped file:

  • settings/override/file.ini.append.php for every siteaccess,
  • settings/siteaccess/<siteaccess>/file.ini.append.php for one siteaccess,
  • extension/<extension>/settings/file.ini.append.php in an extension (read when the extension is active).

SystemUserCheck

(UNIX only) Whether to check if the user executing an eZScript is the same
as defined in the SystemUser setting. When the users don't match, the
script execution will be stopped.

Default: disabled.

<?php /* #?ini charset="utf-8"?
# settings/override/file.ini.append.php
[FileSettings]
SystemUserCheck=disabled
*/ ?>

RequiredSystemUser

Default: www-data.

<?php /* #?ini charset="utf-8"?
# settings/override/file.ini.append.php
[FileSettings]
RequiredSystemUser=www-data
*/ ?>

Handlers

Generic gzip handler, uses the zlib or shell handlers to do the job
Specific gzip handler, either using the zlib extension or gzip shell command

Default: a hash of 3: gzip=ezgzipcompressionhandler, gzipzlib=ezgzipzlibcompressionhandler, gzipshell=ezgzipshellcompressionhandler.

<?php /* #?ini charset="utf-8"?
# settings/override/file.ini.append.php
[FileSettings]
# an empty "Handlers[]" first replaces the shipped list; without it the items are added
Handlers[]
Handlers[gzip]=ezgzipcompressionhandler
Handlers[gzipzlib]=ezgzipzlibcompressionhandler
Handlers[gzipshell]=ezgzipshellcompressionhandler
*/ ?>

FileExtensionBlackList

The file extension blacklist is used to validate uploaded files.
File types on the blacklist are rejected, for security or other reasons.
The list holds the extensions a web server may run as code: every PHP
extension the handlers of PHP-FPM, mod_php and the panels map (php3 to
php8, phtml, pht, phps, phar, phpt, pgif), server-side includes (shtml),
CGI scripts (cgi, pl) and the other platforms' pages (asp, aspx, jsp),
and .htaccess. Write the values in lower case: a file name's extension is
compared in lower case, so shell.PHP5 is refused as php5.

Default: a list of 19: php, php3, php4, php5, php7, php8, phps, phar, phpt, pht, phtml, pgif ....

<?php /* #?ini charset="utf-8"?
# settings/override/file.ini.append.php

# an empty "FileExtensionBlackList[]" first replaces the shipped list; without it the items are added
